Revived Street Art

One piece of street art which has particularly stuck in my mind since visiting New York last year was a bold and vibrant piece I saw when walking along the Highline in Manhattan. I loved that the artist has revived and recreated the photograph V-J Day in Times Square by Alfred Eisenstaedt. I was inspired by the way that the artist had taken the image and by adding colour had made it look contemporary and modern. I also like that although the artist has used the bright and contrasting colours, the original silhouettes of the people who are so recognisable remain the same and the attention is drawn towards them to emphasise them.
