Fluidity on a Poster

I took these photos of a pattern from a collection by the artist Marguerite Humeau which featured on a poster advertising the Nottingham Contemporary. I loved the textured effect and how it looked as if it was a liquid which against the projection creates a strong sense of fluidity. I also love the colours used as they appear almost metallic and the fact that the artist has made the liquid appear three dimensional even though it has been printed on to a piece of paper. I like the idea that by catching the attention of people through the intriguing pattern the gallery are advertising themselves and are encouraging more people to interpret and appreciate the artwork they show.
