Lost Identities

Recently, I visited an exhibition called Krisis at the Bonnington Art Gallery which featured work by an artist called Aida Silvestri from her collection entitled Even This Will Pass. I was drawn to this work because I love the meaning behind the images being that all these people were refugees from Eritrea and the thread on top of their blurred image is the journey they made to England on a map. I love that through her images she has raised awareness of the journeys these people are prepared to make because of their desperation to get to the UK. I also like how she has hidden their identities by blurring the images as it makes you more intrigued into their identity and why they would be trying to make their particular journey.
